Accessibility

This statement is about paste.lightmorphic.com. It was written on 2 September 2026, after the site was checked rather than before, so it describes what was actually found.

How accessible this site is

We believe it meets WCAG 2.2 level AA. Every check below was run against the site as it is published, and everything found was fixed rather than noted and left.

What was checked and what it found

• Colour contrast. Every text and background pair was measured in both the light and the dark theme. The weakest pair is 6.2 to 1 against a requirement of 4.5. The light and dark button's outline was 1.31 to 1, below the 3 to 1 a control needs, and was darkened.
• Width. The layout was stepped down from 1400 pixels to 320 in twenty pixel stages, at both a tall and a short screen. The homepage heading pushed the page sideways below 340 pixels and was rebuilt so it wraps. Nothing scrolls sideways at any width now, which also covers reading the site at 400 per cent zoom.
• Touch. Every standalone button and link is at least 44 pixels tall on a touch screen. Links inside a sentence are left at the size of the text, which the guidelines allow.
• Keyboard. Every page starts with a skip link. Focus outlines are visible and are never removed.
• Structure. One heading level one per page, no skipped levels, and the content sits in a main landmark. The sixteen questions on the questions page are real headings, so a screen reader can move between them.
• Images. Every image has a text alternative. Decorative ones are marked so they are skipped rather than announced.
• Motion. The letters that move in the headings stop completely if your device is set to reduce motion.
• Text size. Body text is 18 pixels. The footer and side notes were 12 and are now 14.

What we know is not perfect

• An automated check finds roughly half of accessibility problems. This site has not been tested by a person using a screen reader, voice control or a switch device, so there may be barriers we have not found.
• The moving letters in the two large headings are decoration. They stop for anyone who has asked for reduced motion, but if you find them distracting and your device is not set that way, tell us.
• The site is set in a serif face at 18 pixels. That suits most people and not everyone. Your browser's own zoom and reader mode both work here.

Reporting a barrier

If something on this site stops you doing what you came to do, write to newsletter@lightmorphic.com and say what happened and what you were using. You will get a reply within five working days, and we will tell you plainly whether we can fix it and when.

How this was prepared

Checked on 2 September 2026 against WCAG 2.2 level AA, using automated testing of the published files: contrast measured on every declared colour pair, the layout swept at every width from 1400 down to 320 pixels, and the markup checked for alternatives, labels, landmarks, heading order and ARIA. It has not been independently audited.
